Should the student be accepted for enrollment for school year 2010-2011, summary of documents students MUST have on file at the time of registration:
Current emergency contact card
State of Florida Medical/Health Form for current school year
Immunization Form
Signed Student Contract
Signed Parent Contract
Students who do not have these specific documents in by the announced deadline will not be permitted to attend classes until they present the appropriate documents to the school.
Eligibility for Admissions:
Students eligible for admissions to grades 9 to 12 at DCS must demonstrate the ability to perform at grade level in the school's college prepatory program. As a result, for purposes of admission to grades 9 through 12, the school shall require students to have achieved a current unweighted minimum GPA of 2.0 and will require the following:
1. Teacher recommendation
2. Writing samples
3. Standardized test scores
4. School records, including academic, attendance, and disciplinary records from the previous years -
Academic reports from 2008-2009 and 1st grading period of 2009 school year
5. Placement examination to determine course selection -after acceptance
6. Other valid indicators of academic performances
Each student shall be required to provide the same documentation and the school shall uniformly apply its admission standards. In the event a student does not have a calculated GPA, the executive will base the admissions decision on the other valid indicators of academic performances as listed above.
For admissions to grades 6 through 8, the School requires applicants to submit the following documents:
1. Academic reports from the 2008-2009 school year, and from the 1st grading period of 2009 school year
2. Standardized test scores
3. Teacher recommendation

. Placement examination to determine course selection - after acceptance
