This course include advanced conversation and writing, and perfection of situational Spanish vocabulary. Students read short stories poetry and news paper articles in Spanish. Spanish speaking countries are studied including their geography, music and social customs. All tenses are either learned or reviewed in this level. Most work is done in the target language. |

SPANISH-SPEAKER I 2008

| This course stresses advanced composition, grammar, conversation and reading of short stories. Units using DVD, CDs, movies in native speaking Spanish speaking explore the culture of the various contries where Spanish is spoken. There is some work with popular songs in Spanish. All work is done in the target language. The portfolio component is part of this course to do research. |

Spanish II 2008

| Students begin this course with a review of Spanish I and build conversational skill. They expand vocabulary and grammar and begin to write simple compositions. Culture and geography of Spain and latin America are explored. CDs, DVDs videos, field trips and fiestas enhance instruction in this level. A portfolio component is part of the instruction to learn the target language culture, develop writing skills, and creation of artcraft. |
